Chapter 10: COG DIS 14.

“REMEMBER IT'S ONLY THE LAST DAY OF YOUR LIFE THAT KILLS YOU”

This poem explains that in remembrance of death the moment of it actually happening is the last memory you will possibly be able to communicate to anyone in the living world.

Everyone fears death in some sense. Possibly sociopaths, drug induced hallucinations or people with defective brains do not fear death.

But for the majority that live in the constant flow of the current consensus of structured life. Death is very high on the fear index of the human condition.

People forget that death is usually described like a thief, an inevitable lifestyle choice or a surprise.

So the poem asks how much invested we have in this last day that never appears yet is ever present in everything we do. How much do we value it? When people discuss most memorable historical events it always has to be defined by the number of deaths. The heroic figure that inspires millions through his life is only given God-like status through their own death. Is it to suggest that the human condition actually fears immortality more than that last day on earth?
